We make cookware for people who care about how a sauce reduces. For people who notice when a pan warps, who can taste the difference between a good sear and a great one. We don't make pans for everyone. We make them for the people who'd rather buy once than four times.

The Origin

It started with a broken pan.

"My third 'premium' sauté pan had warped within 18 months. I couldn't find a single home cookware brand that built to the standards a working chef would actually trust. So we built one."

In late 2020, our founder was halfway through cooking a stew when the bottom of his $200 pan went concave on a hot induction hob. It wasn't the first time. It was the third pan in seven years from the same well-known premium brand.

The frustration set off a question: was the engineering compromise worth the 2× retail markup? Three months of research said no. The home cookware industry had largely stopped innovating — most premium brands were licensing the same 3-ply construction that had been standard for thirty years. We spent the next four years working with steel mills in Portugal and Germany to develop something genuinely better. Not just thicker. Not just heavier. Smarter.

The Craft

How a SarniePro pan is made.

Every piece passes through three stages — material selection, full-body cladding, and hand finishing — at our partner foundry in Aveiro. No shortcuts. No subcontracted assembly. No variable quality.

Step 01 · Material Selection

Steel graded from the source.

We source 18/10 stainless from a single Swedish mill that supplies surgical equipment manufacturers. Aluminium cores are aerospace grade. Every batch is spectrographically tested before it enters the line — purity tolerances tighter than 99.7%.

Step 02 · Full-Body Cladding

Five layers, fused as one.

Most cookware uses bonded discs only on the base. We clad the entire body — sides, walls, rim. Layers are bonded under 4,000 tons of pressure at 1,100°C, fusing them into a single piece of metal that cannot delaminate.

Step 03 · Hand Finishing

The final 5%.

Each pan is hand-polished to a satin finish, hand-balanced for weight, and visually inspected against a master reference. Approximately 1 in 38 pieces is rejected. The accepted pieces are stamped with the maker's mark.

Built to last.

Every product is engineered for a 30+ year functional lifetime. Lifetime warranty on all cookware. We measure success by how long you keep using it — not how often you replace it.

ii.

Honest specs.

Every measurement on our site is real, tested, and traceable. No marketing rounding. No "premium-feel" weasel words. If we say 3.2mm, your calliper will read 3.2mm.

iii.

Direct relationship.

We sell directly to you, not through middlemen. That means lower prices, better margins to invest in materials, and a real customer service team that picks up when you call.

iv.

Sustainable by design.

FSC-certified packaging. Zero plastic in shipping. A pan that lasts 30 years instead of 5 takes six pans out of the waste stream. That's our biggest environmental contribution.

The Team

A handful of people. One shared standard.

We're a team of nine, split between London and Aveiro. Among us: two former chefs, one former materials engineer who spent a decade in aerospace, and a small operations team obsessed with the boring details — packaging, fulfilment, customer support.

We're small on purpose. Every product gets reviewed by three of us before it ships. Every customer email gets read by a human, usually within four hours. We don't have outside investors pushing us to scale faster than the craft allows.
